Assumption Abbey...Richardton, ND

This is where the scrap booking event was held Br. James was our tour guide..

The tables and chairs were made by the monks here...lately they have purchased some Amish furniture b/c they don't have a lot of carpenters anymore...

This was Br. James...his real name was Ernest...but when he committed to become a monk they gave him James...his Uncle was a monk named Ernest who he was named after...but you get two choices of a name then they decide your name...
Br James build this drink cupboard where we got our drinks each meal.

Picture in the dining hall...
The Church with stained glass was beautiful...

This has water running out of it all the time very peaceful water sounds...it is where they baptise now, too.

Two men buried in the church...one started it and one rescued it when it was about to go under...

Outside courtyard...
125 feet above the ground the steeples...

Lots of history about the place will blog more later!!!
