Wild Flowers from my Marlboro Man!

The other day I was having a pretty tough day and didn't really say anything about it to Marlboro Man...when he came in from chores and working outside he put a huge glass of wild flowers he picked in the pasture and made a wild flower arrangment for me...I almost cried it was so sweet...it is sweeter then a huge bouquet of flowers from a flower shop...he found flowers from his heart and arranged them for me...what a man!!! I loved this arrangement so much!!! He is a great man to me...and at just the right time he does something to make me smile!! It's like when the kids were younger and picked dandelions for me...it was always so sweet...this is the same feeling to my heart!!!!

This was a funny breed chicken...their head!!

I thought this little gal was so cute...her huge chicken and her red glasses just adorable...reminded me a lot of Becky when she was little...I think her name was Sydnee...anyway I just had to get her picture and her huge chicken...LOL!!

Kassidy Kraft...she is an amazing little gal she just loves her animals...she was such a cutie...her whole family is involved in 4-H and open showing...I would see her laying with her rabbits...climbing on cages to pet animals...she was such a fun girl to watch...it is funny when you see kids love animals so much!!!

I loved being a part of this show...I love kids anyway and then to be part of what makes them tick is just awesome!!! It was a fun time even if I did miss the Free BBQ...LOL!!! I enjoy this kind of stuff at the fair...I worked with Craig Askim from the Extension office and he is so easy to work with and it makes helping a pleasure!

Ranch Rodeo...a super fun event at the Mercer County Fair!

This event was wild...the team had to load their horses up go and put their hands on the front of the pick up when the whistle blows they run for the back of the trailer and unload their horses...one has a batton he runs a lap around the arena...hands off the batton to the next rider until all four have run around the arena load the horses as they go slam the trailer gate...run to front of pick up with hands on the pick up again...time stops...it gets so wild as they hadn the batton off it gets dropped...horses run into each other...horses run out of the trailer...its hilarious!

These boys were on the shoots watching the Ranch Rodeo...it reminded me of bygone days of Billy when he was younger

Adam Wanner from team Four Guys...Adam is am awesome cowboy and we root for his team all the time.

The announcer Shannon Dean...

This event they had to rope the steer then brand him with chalk then run the iron to the pail time stops...

Spectators...Jack Reich a local rancher that is everything you think about when you think about cowboys...he lives it...looks it!

Our next favorite team is Challenger...Trent Martin is on this team he is married to Dawn Martin our neighbor...they are such a great cowboy family!

Jan Strom and I enjoying the event and day!

My Marlboro man and I enjoying the Ranch Rodeo!

Teams tring to get their steers....

Part of the crowd...

Challenger with their steer....

Waiting for the results...

Trent Martin and his oldest son waiting for the results....

The Ranch Rodeo is a sanctioned event and the teams get points for their standings in all state Ranch Rodeos...the events go fast and the cowboys try hard...it is suppose to represent what goes on at ranches...and believe me when you are working cattle and chasing cattle it gets this nuts and worse at times...these are some great cowboys to watch!!!
